Biography

Jittimon Muntranon is a Thai artist whose work blurs the lines between architecture, craft, and art. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Kasetsart University and has completed a short course in Buddhist Art at Mae Fah Luang University. Her large scale installations often resemble fantastical realms: vivid, dreamlike spaces that invite viewers to step into an alternate world.

Known for her use of bright, playful colors and tactile materials, Jittimon’s work evokes a sense of childlike wonder and joy. She employs labor intensive processes such as stitching, crocheting, and handcrafting with paper, fabric, and yarn. These materials are deeply connected to her own childhood imagination and these intricately assembled pieces often feature interactive components, encouraging audiences to touch, explore, and engage physically with the work, also, to reflect on human behavior and its relationship to nature, and rediscover one’s own spiritual transformation.

She is currently working on an ongoing project titled Rebirth, which explores local materials and cultural contexts of Northern Thailand Through this project, she continues to weave her imaginative language into specific places and communities.
